- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1½ cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon mint extract, add ½ teaspoon more if you like more mint flavor
- Green food coloring
Substitutions and Additions
MARSHMALLOW: You could swirl a little marshmallow creme into the fudge mixture.
TOPPINGS: You could crumble crushed Oreos or Andes mints on top of the fudge once you add it to the pan.
CHOCOLATE CHIPS: You could use dark chocolate chips instead of milk chocolate for added depth of flavor in this mint chocolate fudge recipe.
How to Make Mint Chocolate Fudge
STEP ONE: Line an 8×8 square pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
STEP TWO: Place the white chocolate chips in a medium pan and melt over low heat until most of the chips are melted. Remove from heat and stir in half of the sweetened condensed milk and the teaspoon of mint.
PRO TIP: When melting chocolate, make sure your pans are completely clean and dry! You’ll also want to stir continually so nothing burns.
STEP THREE: Add green food coloring to the white chips and stir until well-mixed and all chips are melted.
STEP FOUR: Place the milk chocolate chips in a separate pan and melt over low heat until most of the chips are melted. Remove from the heat and stir in the remaining sweetened condensed milk and stir until the rest of the chips are melted.
STEP FIVE: Using a large spoon, drop spoonfuls of white chips alternating with dropping spoonfuls of the milk chocolate chips randomly on the bottom of the prepared pan. When the bottom of the pan is filled, continue dropping spoonfuls all around the pan until all of the melted chip pans are empty. Gently tap the pan on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
STEP SIX: Working quickly, use a butter knife or wooden skewer and run the tip through the fudge mixture, making a swirling pattern.
STEP SEVEN: Once you are finished swirling, you can also use your hand or spatula to gently pat on the top of the fudge to make the top even. Tap the pan on the counter again to remove air bubbles from the fudge.
STEP EIGHT: Chill fudge for 3 to 4 hours or overnight.
PRO TIP: Use an extra sharp knife dipped in water between slices to help create smooth, clean cuts.
STEP NINE: Lift the fudge out of the pan using the foil edges to lift it out. Then remove the foil from the fudge. Cut into serving pieces.

Storage
IN THE FRIDGE: Some fudge you can leave sitting out at room temperature, and they will do okay, but this one has to be kept refrigerated in an airtight container, or the mint part goes soft.
IN THE FREEZER: You can also freeze this delicious fudge for up to two months when stored properly in the freezer. I would suggest wrapping it well and popping it into freezer-safe bags to prevent it from spoiling.
