Creamsicle Fudge Ingredients

You will need:

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon orange extract
  • orange gel food coloring (or yellow and red food coloring)

Substitutions and Additions

COLORING: You could also use yellow and red food coloring for this orange creamsicle fudge recipe if you don’t have orange food coloring on hand.

CHOCOLATE: If you’re using white confectionery coating chips for this easy recipe, (no cocoa butter listed in the ingredients), use 12 ounces. If using pure white chocolate (with cocoa butter listed in the ingredients), use 15 ounces.

FLAVOR: If you love orange, you can definitely add a little more orange flavoring for an extra burst of that fresh, citrus flavor in this creamy fudge.

How to Make Creamsicle Fudge

PRO TIP: If you are feeding a crowd or giving as a gift, this would be an easy recipe to double.

STEP ONE: Line an 8×8 pan with foil. Spray with nonstick spray.

STEP TWO: In a medium-sized saucepan over low heat, melt the white chocolate chips with the sweetened condensed milk and the butter until smooth and creamy.

STEP THREE: Add 1 teaspoon of orange extract and taste. Adjust if you want more orange flavor.

STEP FOUR: Remove 1 cup of the mixture to a medium bowl. This will remain white.

STEP FIVE: To the fudge remaining in the pan, add the food coloring to the desired orange color. I used Wilton gel yellow and red.

PRO TIP: If using red and yellow food coloring, start with adding the yellow food coloring and then add a little bit of red at a time and adjust until desired orange color. Red can overtake easily if you start with it!

STEP SIX: Pour the orange fudge into the prepared pan and level it out.

STEP SEVEN: Drop the white fudge by spoonfuls in a random pattern onto the orange fudge.

STEP EIGHT: Using a knife or wooden skewer make swirl patterns.

STEP NINE: Refrigerate uncovered for 3 to 4 hours until set.

PRO TIP: To make cutting easier, score the top of the fudge with a butter knife before refrigerating.

STEP TEN: Remove the fudge from the pan and peel the foil back. Cut into squares to serve!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

My fudge didn’t set. What did I do wrong?

Usually, if fudge doesn’t set, it’s because it wasn’t hot enough when making it. Make sure to get the mixture hot enough, but keep an eye that it doesn’t burn.

How do I store this fudge?

We would recommend storing this easy fudge recipe in the fridge as it will get too soft at room temperature.

How do I slice chilled fudge easily?

To easily slice the fudge, dip a large sharp flat knife in boiling water, dry it completely, and cut one long slice (the heat will help the blade to glide through).
