Christmas Punch Ingredients

You will need:

  • 1 can frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 3 cans ginger ale or 36 ounces
  • 4 cups cranberry juice
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • orange slices cranberries, and/or mint leaves to garnish

Substitutions and Additions

JUICE: Substitute any kind of fruit juice concentrate in this simple Christmas punch. If you are using a 2-liter bottle of ginger ale, measure out the ginger ale using the empty can of juice concentrate. It’s a 1:1 substitute of water for ginger ale.

PRO TIP: You need a 96-ounce pitcher for this festive holiday punch. You can halve the recipe for a smaller pitcher – remember to use just half of the frozen juice concentrate. The full recipe also makes a nice large quantity for filling a punch bowl.

How to Make Christmas Punch

STEP ONE: Fill glasses with ice.

STEP TWO: In a large pitcher or punch bowl, pour out the contents of frozen juice concentrate.

STEP THREE: Instead of adding water to the juice concentrate, measure ginger ale and add to the pitcher (3 cans or 36 ounces of ginger ale).

STEP FOUR: Add cranberry juice and pineapple juice to the pitcher. Stir to mix frozen juice concentrate into the mixture.

PRO TIP: The cranberry juice is what gives this delicious holiday punch its deep red color. If you want a deeper red punch, simply add additional cranberry juice – the flavor is still delicious.

STEP FIVE: Serve over ice. You can also add ice to the pitcher or punch bowl for serving a large group.

How to Serve Christmas Punch

This sparkling Christmas punch would be a huge hit at parties, on Christmas Eve, or on Christmas morning. One of the best ways to serve Christmas punch is by using a large punch bowl. You can add slices of oranges or cranberries for a beautiful presentation. Since ginger ale will lose its fizz after a couple of hours, you’ll want to mix the punch up just before serving. Be sure to add ice to the serving glasses instead of the pitcher to keep it from watering down the punch as it melts.

Storage

This drink is best made fresh and will not keep at all. The ginger ale will lose its fizz and any ice will melt and water down the drink.
