Substitutions and Additions

TEA: Typically, I tend to use orange and black pekoe blend tea in this recipe. You can use caffeinated or decaffeinated tea. If you’re looking to add something a little extra to your tea you could use any flavored tea bag. For example, if you used peach-flavored tea, you could have raspberry peach iced tea! It can be fun to get creative with this.

RASPERRIES: I used frozen raspberries in creating this recipe and it turned out so delicious! You could use fresh raspberries as well and it would be just as good. Just be sure to freeze some of the fresh peaches to use when serving your tea. You could also use a different type of fruit in place of raspberries if you prefer. Peach, blueberry, orange, or strawberry-flavored ice teas tend to be some of the most popular. You will want to follow the directions above using fresh or frozen fruit to make your flavored tea!

IN THE FRIDGE: Be sure to use any leftover iced tea in the refrigerator. Generally speaking, for the best flavor, you’ll want to drink your raspberry iced tea within one day. But, it will stay good in the fridge for up to 3 to 4 days.

You can also store any unused raspberry syrup in the refrigerator in a jar for up to a month. Just be sure to not add any extra fruit to the syrup to prevent fermentation or gas build-up.
