Nutella Brownies Ingredients

You will need:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1½ cups Nutella
  • ½ cup flour

Substitutions and Additions

TOPPINGS: You can go as simple as a dusting of powdered sugar or as fancy as a scoop of ice cream and hot fudge on top of these decadent brownies. If you are making these during the holidays, you could sprinkle crushed candy canes or peppermint candies on top of the brownies.

CHOCOLATE CHIPS: You could mix into the batter ½ cup of chocolate chips. Choose regular chocolate, white chocolate, peanut butter, or even larger chocolate chunks.

NUTELLA: If you don’t have the name-brand Nutella, you can use any hazelnut spread for this recipe.

How to Make Nutella Brownies

STEP ONE: Preheat oven to 350°F. Fit parchment paper to the bottom of your 8×8 pan, leaving an overhang on two sides so you have a sort of “sling” and then spray with nonstick spray.

STEP TWO: Using the whisk attachment for your electric mixer, beat the eggs for 8 minutes at medium-high speed. The eggs should triple in size and be pale in color.

STEP THREE: With your mixer on low speed, add the Nutella to the eggs and mix until just combined. You might need to stop and scrape the bowl a few times to fully mix in the Nutella. Lastly, add your flour and mix on low until there are no lumps or visible flour and it looks uniform. Scraping the bowl down as needed.

STEP FOUR: Spread the mix into your prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

STEP FIVE: Let cool completely and then remove from the pan using the parchment sling. Dust with confectioner’s sugar, if desired, and cut into squares.

PRO TIP: If you want nicely cut brownies, use a plastic knife instead of a regular one. The brownies will not tear and you will have nice straight lines.
