Dole Whip Jello shots put a fun boozy twist on the famous Disney treat. Sweet, tropical, and creamy, these easy-to-make Jello shots take Disney’s refreshing Dole Whip and add some vodka to the mix.

If you love cool alcoholic drinks, then you’ll want to whip up a Boozy Creamsicle Float, Alcoholic Frozen Lemonade, or Pina Colada.

Dole Whip Jello Shots Ingredients

You will need:

  • 6 ounces pineapple jello mix
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1½ cups pineapple juice
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup vanilla vodka

PRO TIP: Different stores carry different-sized plastic shot glasses, ranging from 1.5 ounces to 2.5 ounces. Use what you can find, and just know that this recipe will make fewer or more jello shots depending on the size of your disposable shot glasses.

Substitutions and Additions

VODKA: The vanilla vodka really gives the jello shots that Dole Whip combo of flavors. You can use regular vodka or rum for this easy recipe if you do not have vanilla vodka.

JELLO: You can substitute plain gelatin packets (2 packets per 2 cups of liquid) for one or both of the pineapple jello packages if needed. In this case, you would only get the pineapple flavor from the pineapple juice. This is an option if you cannot find pineapple jello. I ordered my pineapple jello on Amazon

PINEAPPLE: I like to get the little mini (6-ounce) cans of pineapple juice to keep on hand in my pantry. These are great for this recipe since 6 ounces is equivalent to ¾ cup of pineapple juice, and they come in a 4 or 6-pack. This way, I do not need to open a large bottle of pineapple juice if I am only using it to make a small recipe.

How to Make Dole Whip Jello Shots

PRO TIP: This recipe makes 24 shots. If you are making these for a larger party and need more, you can easily double the recipe.

STEP ONE: In a 4-cup measuring cup, whisk together the pineapple jello mix and 1 cup of boiling water until the jello is fully dissolved.

STEP TWO: Once the jello is fully dissolved, stir in the pineapple juice, sweetened condensed milk, and vodka. Whisk together until combined.

PRO TIP: Use up to 1½ cups of vodka for a stronger jello shot. You need four cups total of liquid to combine with the jello mixture.

STEP THREE: Carefully pour the mixture between small plastic shot cups. Fill just under the top, so they don’t spill.

STEP FOUR: Transfer jello shots to the refrigerator and chill for 4 hours until set.

PRO TIP: Setting the jello shot cups on a baking sheet will help make it easier to transport them to the fridge for chilling.

STEP FIVE: Just before serving, top each jello shot with a pineapple toothpick.

How to Serve Dole Whip Jello Shots

These boozy Dole Whip Jello shots were made for sharing. Make a batch for a pool party or summer barbecue. Topping each jello shot with a pineapple toothpick adds to the fun! Sure to be a hit no matter where you serve them, don’t forget to pair these jello shots with yummy appetizers like these cucumber bites or pretzel bites.

Storage

IN THE FRIDGE: Jello shots will keep in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Cover if you use containers that do not come with individual lids; otherwise, pop the lids on for storage.

IN THE FREEZER: Because of the gelatin and alcohol, this jello shot recipe doesn’t tend to freeze very well.

Dole Whip jello shots are a grown-up version of the magical Disney frozen treat. These sweet and tropical jello shots are easy to make and perfect for any party. Grab your ingredients and get ready to whip up some deliciousness!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How to store vodka jello shots?

If you have any leftover jello shots, you can store them in the fridge for up to a week with their lids tightly on. You can make them 1 to 2 days ahead of your party before serving, but make sure you are storing the containers with the lids on.

Can you freeze jello shots?

I don’t find that jello shots freeze well because of the gelatin and alcohol. While you can pop them in the freezer for a few minutes to help speed along the setting process, you shouldn’t store them in the freezer after they’re done.

Can I use a different flavor of jello if I can’t find pineapple jello?

If you can’t find pineapple jello, you can use plain gelatin in a pinch.
