Eggnog Jello Shots

Eggnog jello shots take a favorite holiday drink and turn it into something new and exciting with creamy eggnog flavor and an extra punch of rum and vodka.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 2 packets unflavored gelatin
  • ½ cup dark rum
  • ¼ cup vanilla vodka
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • whipped cream

Instructions
 

  • Pour your eggnog into a small sauce pot and sprinkle the gelatin over the top of it; allow the gelatin to bloom for 5 minutes.
  • Bring the mixture up to a simmer over medium heat.
  • Remove the eggnog from the heat and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in the rum, vodka, and half the nutmeg.
  • Pour the mixture into 2-ounce cups. Place the caps on the cups and place them in the fridge for 2 hours until the jello sets.
  • Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg.

Notes

PRO TIP: Allow the dissolved gelatin mixture to cool slightly before adding in the vodka. This will prevent the alcohol from boiling out, resulting in weaker shots. By pouring the eggnog mixture into a separate container, it will allow the mixture enough time to cool to a sufficient temperature and make it easier to pour into your individual shot glasses!
PRO TIP: You could also add festive green and red sprinkles to the top of your whipped cream to make this treat extra colorful.
